SUPPORTING PEOPLE. EMPOWERING CHOICE. ADVOCATING FOR CHANGE
Mindful Support is a social work-led practice committed to promoting dignity, human rights, social justice, and self-determination. We work alongside individuals, families and communities to navigate complex systems, overcome barriers, and achieve meaningful outcomes.
We recognise that accessing services and support can often be challenging. Whether navigating the NDIS, Aged Care, Centrelink or court-related matters, our role is to provide professional guidance, advocacy, and coordination while ensuring that each person's voice, rights and choices remain at the centre of decision-making.
At Mindful Support, we believe that every person deserves to be treated with respect, compassion, and dignity, regardless of their circumstances. We are committed to delivering services that are person-centred, trauma-informed, culturally responsive and strengths based.
My name is Mele, and I am the Founder and Principal Social Worker of Mindful Support.
I hold a Bachelor of Theology and a Bachelor of Social Work. My professional journey has been shaped by a deep commitment to supporting individuals, families, and communities through life's challenges while promoting dignity, self-determination, and social justice.
As a Social Worker, I do not believe people fit neatly into a single box, nor do I believe support should be limited to one area of practice. Every person's story is unique, and their needs are often influenced by a range of social, emotional, cultural, spiritual, and systemic factors. This understanding has shaped my approach to practice and ultimately inspired me to establish Mindful Support.
